It’s finally over … we have lots of stories to tell, lots of rest to catch up on, lots of pictures to sort, and lots of highly offensive laundry to wash (multiple times), but the hike is over (we agreed a few days into it that the name “hike” isn’t as appropriate as climb-leap-crawl-balance-run-inch … but more about that later …).

God was so faithful. We were out in the wild for 14 days, and returned yesterday to K town (base camp). We were able to reach O village, A village and S village; encountered no poisonous snakes and had no major illnesses or injuries (apart from the illness that kept Joe from coming on the actual hike with us – he’s ok now); had good weather (after the first few awful days); and distributed 66 Bibles to 7 villages.

Now we’re on our way back toward home (over the course of the next 8 days). We’ve continued to have trouble getting on flights (and even getting accurate information about them), so please pray that everything works out.

Oh boy is there more to tell. But I either start and won’t be able to stop, or just stop now, so I’ll just say … it’s perhaps the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve barely begun to process it all, but God was really good to us. We can’t wait to see you all. :)

Can’t wait to see you both back again and give you gigantic hugs.
… AFTER you wash the highly offensive laundry. ;)
